A visit to Zanzibar would not be complete without visiting a spice farm. The Island is famously known as the Spice Island, and has been the centre of the Spice Trade for centuries. On this tour we will take you around a local farm where you will see a host of tropical spices growing in their natural environment.

We start the Spice tour at Kidichi Village where we visit the Persian Baths built in 1850 by Seyyid Said bin Sultan for his wife Princess Shahrzad.

The Spice Tour proceeds to the Kizimbani Village to visit the spice farms to see, smell and taste varieties of tropical fruits and spices such as black pepper, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, vanilla sticks, lemon grass, nutmeg etc. You will also be able to purchase spices from the local farmers directly.

We will pick you up in our air conditioned vehicle, take you on your tour and then drop you of. The spice tour can also be done on the way to your hotel or on your day of departure before going to the airport.
